At the Purse Table is Keisha Bass’ first screenplay. She has published two works of women’s fiction. Her latest novel, Permanent Resident at the Altar, released October 2015 by Urban Books. At the Purse Table is an adapted screenplay based on her first novel, Permanent Resident at the Purse Table, (February 2014, Urban Christian Books now Urban Books). She has also published non-fiction articles in magazines and online, including sharing part of her testimony, “Heart Problems”, in Chicken Soup for the Soul: A Book of Miracles.
Keisha is a member of the Dallas Screenwriters Association (DSA) and serves as the Librarian. She also is a connect member of the International Screenwriters Association (ISA), and is currently working to complete a series of screenplays in the dramatic comedy genre. A native Texan, she grew up in Houston, but now resides in Arlington, and teaches Physical Education and coaches girls’ sports in Crowley ISD.
